I'm Making A New Record!

Drum roll please!! A new Ruby Rae record is in the works!!
Over the past couple of years, I have been writing songs for a new record with the working title "True Crime." It's the most personal album I've written so far.
Somehow these songs that feel so specific to my life, have evoked the biggest response from those who have heard them. Heartbreak and the humor that gets us through are so universal.
In order to successfully tell this story, I've teamed up with a super-talented producer / multi-instrumentalist Lawson White, and an awesome Brooklyn based record label (Good Child Music) to capture these songs and share them with the world. Lawson and I have already been working in the studio to develop songs and record what will be the foundation for this album. We're currently moving from pre-production into production mode.
I want to continue to make the best and most beautiful records I can, and creating music from scratch with this kind of impeccable production level is expensive. AND I've found it's much more exciting to connect with my community throughout the process than wait til the release. So that's why I've previously partnered with Pledgemusic, and now Kickstarter to help fund this project, share progress, and make this the best Ruby Rae record yet!
